About the studio
Provisions for the animals we build our lives around.
The Kinship Collective is a small studio making a deliberately short list of provisions for dogs and cats: nutrition, feeding equipment, walking gear, rest and everyday care. We are not a warehouse of everything an animal might want. Eight products carry the whole catalogue, and each one has to earn its shelf space with test batches, material trials and months of living with the thing before it ships.
The catalogue is built for households that live closely with an animal: city apartments with a single cat, family homes with two working dogs, and the long stretch of years when a companion slows down and needs softer support underneath them. If the problem you are trying to solve is a bowl that slides across the floor, a lead that holds up to weather, or a food whose ingredient list is shorter than your own shopping list, you are who we design for.
The studio is a team of six: two industrial designers, a veterinary nutritionist, a materials engineer, a production lead, and the person who answers every email that arrives. We work with three workshops, all of which we visit in person, and we run batches small enough to inspect by hand before anything is boxed. Nothing in this catalogue arrives from a catalogue of unbranded stock.
Orders leave the studio within one working day and ship free over $75. Everything carries a thirty-day trial, because a product only proves itself in a real household: use it hard, and if it does not earn its place, send it back. Spare parts for discontinued runs stay on the shelf for five years, on the reasoning that repairing one good object is cheaper than replacing three mediocre ones.
